Dear Friends,

It seems that in today’s uncertain times you can’t log onto the Internet, open your e-mail, turn on the radio, or watch television without some sort of story about the current “swine flu” pandemic that is causing everyone to talk about. This is of great concern for all of us.
It is very possible that things are out of proportion in some of the reports and diagnosis of the swine flu . . . Or perhaps, the reports are true. No matter what the truth is, having Precious Oils Care Kit can help you be prepared for the cold and flu season. We have chosen four anti-viral essential oils prepared from “leaves” for your use.

May the Lord bless you and keep you,

Apothecary Cynthia Hillson

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Matthew 10:1

Precious Oils Care Kit is 4 Essential Oils that I use in my home during the cold and flu season. I began to offer it at conferences where I set up my Precious Oils vendor table. You receive four 5/8 dram vials of pure essential oils, a two dram bottle of fractionated coconut oil for blending, two plastic droppers, a 2 oz spray bottle and a 2 dram bottle for blending. The booklet includes how to use the oils.

Lavender

High Altitude French Lavender

Lavandula angustifolia

France

Lavender essential Oil is often referred to as the universal oil, because there is such a multitude of uses for it. Uses include, but not limited to; cuts, bruises, burns, nausea, headaches, and insomnia.

Eucalyptus, Lemon

Eucalyptus citriodora

Haiti

Lemon eucalyptus essential oil is a fresher and more welcome scent than traditional eucalyptus essential oil. It is wonderful for massages and respiratory illnesses.

Cornmint
Mentha arvensis

India

Mint is definitely a first aid kit must! Relieves aches and pains, itchiness, inflammation and soothes migraines. Activates lymph and increases circulation and white blood cell count. The main constituent of peppermint is menthol, a potent chemical unto itself which causes a quick physical response when inhaled or applied the the skin. Menthol produces a sensation of coolness which the body reacts to by producing its own warming effect, with as blood flowing to the area of application. This physical sensation is responsible for peppermint's long history of use as medicine. Today menthol is often found in sports creams and chest rubs, such as the well-known 'Halls Mentholyptus' cough drops - the oil is excellent for opening the sinus passages, though should be used with caution in this respect. Even a small amount of the oil coming into direct contact with the delicate membranes inside the nasal passages can result in a temporary burning sensation.

Certified Organic Ravensara
Ravensara aromatica

Madagascar

Respiratory and cardiovascular systems are harmonized with ravensara oil. Lymph drainage is facilitated and is also a beneficial oil for joint pain, digestion and water retention.
Ravensara is a strong anti-viral. As a comparison to other essential oils, rosemary is 10X of tea tree and ravensara is 10 of rosemary.

The Fragrant Bride

"Come hither, I will show thee the Bride, the Lamb's wife."

Awake and get strengthened, O Zion. Get dressed in your beautiful garments!

There shall no more be the
uncircumcised and the unclean.
Shake yourself from the dust; arise and sit down in Me. My people shall know

My Name. It is I who speaks, behold,  it is I.  Your feet are beautiful, your garments are white, you are bringing shalom, and I will reign in your heart,
O Daughter of Zion.  You are Watchman . . . Lifting your voice together,
and you will see me eye to eye. So break forth into exceeding joy,
Sing together, For the Lord has comforted.

Fragrant Sacrifices
Copyright 2005     Precious Oils Up On the Hill   PO Box 2036 Cornelius,  NC  28031
Have you ever thought why God would desire us to be a sweet smelling sacrifice unto Him? The reason, you who are sealed with the promise, is that He created us for His pleasure.  Oh, how He enjoys the sacrifices of praise, worship, time, finances, benevolence to widows and orphans and the laying down of ourselves unto our brethren who we esteem higher than ourselves. The Lord inhales deep when we realize that the gifts and talents that He has so graciously bestowed upon each of us is given back to Him - all to advance the Kingdom, bringing a people unto Himself.  Prayer and intercession are brought to the Father and are being stored in vials and in bowls. In a world where we have every creature comfort available, the Lord invites us to come and bring sacrifices unto Him. This is our priestly duty and one that we need not take lightly. As we offer fragrant sacrifices, it is the pleasure of Our Father to give us up to half the Kingdom. Mary came with her bottle of spikenard, it was her sacrifice. Perhaps she was saving it for her wedding day or other special occasion. As she lavishly anointed the feet of Jesus, the chatter in the room began and selfishness came in the fleshly, human heart. Can you imagine how all the judgments stopped when Jesus acknowledged the prophetic significance of what was happening to all that had gathered in that room? His words "Let her alone" should speak to all.
Blot out anyone who would want to interrupt your worship, praise and adoration of your King. Just as the seal of Mary's alabaster box was
opened by her choice, so was it to pour it all out on the feet of Jesus as an outpouring of continued
praise and worship.

Fragrant sacrifice -  to be shared intimately with inward expression toward your King to help you grow in the grace, strength and knowledge of Yeshua.  Hebrews 13:15 &16 says . . . "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God the sacrifice of praise . . . the fruit of our lips that confess His name. Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is well-pleased.

Holy Basil Totally unlike the herbal basil oils normally seen, India's Holy Basil has a rich, spicy aroma because it is high in Eugenol, the phytochemical that gives cloves and our cinnamon leaf oil their distinctive notes.

Bay Laurel. Sweet and spicy Bay Laurel is distilled from the dried leaves and berries of the tropical evergreen tree. Bay Laurel was honored by the Egyptians and Romans as a symbol of wisdom and protection. In modern aromatherapy, the oil has been effective in stimulating the lymph system and protecting against colds and viruses.

Cypress. The woody, spicy, clear and refreshing scent of Cypress is distilled from the leaves and cones of an evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean.

Hyssop  Steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of a perennial that grows in France, Spain and southern Europe. The flowers and leaves have been used since antiquity for their therapeutic properties. The name comes from the Hebrew word "ezob" (holy plant). The oil has a warm, sweet, penetrating aroma that enhances alertness and mental clarity. It is used for all respiratory conditions and has a regulatory effect on the circulation. Hyssop helps to heal the skin.

Myrtle The ancient Persians regarded myrtle as a holy plant. Myrtle was a symbol of love and peace to the Jews, and the Greeks regarded it as sacred. In the 16th century, the leaves and flowers were the major ingredients in a skin lotion known as "angels' water." An extract of the leaves is used in north Africa to alleviate coughs and chest infections.
